Water Blob

Recently (in April 2014), a group of U.K students disclosed a biodegradable edible water blob named 'ooho'. This can replace water bottles which can cause companies to spend less on packaging, less garbage issues, especially in Guyana and other problems may be solved at the same time.
The Ooho is cheaper than producing a plastic water bottle and doesn't create the waste that plastic water bottles do. On the other hand, it has a few design flaws that still need to be worked out - most notably, you can't close it once it's opened.
